BISQUIT & DUBOUCHÉ COGNAC AND ARTIST JILLIAN MAYER AT FRIEZE LOS ANGELES
The Miami-based artist collaborated with B&D to create the Glass Room installation, inspired by a cognac bottle.
An immersive commission driven by material transformation and exploring an aesthetic of difference and distinction.
We are proud to announce that Bisquit & Dubouché Cognac will be an official sponsor of Frieze Los Angeles with an exclusive installation by artist Jillian Mayer. Solely shown at Frieze Los Angeles from February 17-20, 2022, Bisquit & Dubouché x Glass Room is Mayer’s first-ever immersive glass commission. Drawing inspiration from our avant-garde approach to cognac-making, the installation is a must-see experience at this year’s highly anticipated Los Angeles art fair. Visitors can experience the lounge at an all-new location at 9900 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills, adjacent to The Beverly Hilton hotel.

Upon entering the lounge at Frieze Los Angeles, visitors will be fully immersed in Jillian Mayer’s bold study on transformation. Drawing inspiration from the hypnotic ritual of swirling Bisquit & Dubouché Cognac in a snifter, Mayer’s installation invites visitors to step inside her vision of amber, burgundy, and sepia hues. As an artist, Jillian Mayer is constantly pushing boundaries through new mediums and exploring how the physical world affects our lives, bodies, and identities.

Partnering with Frieze, the world’s leading platform for modern and contemporary art, and an innovative artist like Jillian Mayer was a natural fit given our own dedication to artistic vision and innovative approach to time-honored materials. Dating back to founder Adrien Dubouché, a devoted art collector who himself designed the first Bisquit & Dubouché logotype, and original brand devotees like legendary entertainer Josephine Baker, creativity has always been at the heart of what we do. Visit Frieze Los Angeles from February 17-20, 2022 at 9900 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills. Get tickets at frieze.com.
